Lent is the season when new converts to Christianity are prepared for Holy Baptism and when those alienated from the community of faith are restored to it through penitance and reconciliation.   Lent is a time of self-examination and a reordering of priorities, a time of self-denial, prayer, and renewal of one's faith.   It is a time when all of us should call to mind the many blessings God has seen fit to bestow upon us and to boldly act in God's Name to help the poor, the disenfranchised, and the oppressed.  With that in mind, Lenten Pence cans are now available in the Narthex.  Your loose change can make a difference!
